YOU can help make this a summer 70+ kids will never forget!

CPAH creates meaningful, educational and exciting opportunities for low-income kids in Tigard and Beaverton through the OAKS Summer Camp. OAKS stands for Open-minded, Active, Kind and Smart.

Each summer, more than 70 OAKS children participate in activities that build confidence, creativity, social and problem solving skills.

We need YOUR help to give CPAH kids a chance to learn and discover through field trips. Your donation will go directly to help bring the following experiences to these children:

  • Portland Children's Museum
  • Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge
  • Broadway Rose Theatre Company
  • Cannon Beach
  • City Kids Fishing

Why are these field trips important?

Summer is a critical time for kids. They can either engage in meaningful experiences that help them develop and grow, or they can slip down the “summer slide” of summer learning loss. Those who are engaged in fun and enriching activities build on the skills they’ve developed over the school year, and start September ready to succeed. Kids who do not participate in enriching activities can fall up to three months behind academically and greatly increase their likelihood to engage in negative behaviors.

The OAKS Summer Camp gives kids the opportunity to discover new things, meet new friends, and explore places they’ve never been before. Our Cannon Beach trip is always the highlight of the summer, as many CPAH children are thrilled to experience the ocean for the first time!

Who is CPAH and who are CPAH kids?
